Sharon Yvonne Stone is the only daughter of Dorothy Lawson (an accountant) and Joseph William Stone II, a tool-and-die manufacturer and former employee in a manufacturing plant. Sharon was born on 10 March 1958, at Meadville Pennsylvania. Three siblings are hers: Michael, Kelly, and Patrick. Stone began second grade in kindergarten at the age of five. Saegertown School located in Saegertown Pennsylvania was the high school she attended. She graduated in 1975. She also competed for the Miss Pennsylvania beauty pageant, which she won Miss Crawford County. Stone moved with her aunt from New Jersey, where she began a modeling career. The following month, Stone signed up at the Ford Modeling Agency. While in Europe Stone was able to spend a whole year living in Milano as well as Paris. Stone was however dissatisfied in Europe by the fashion business and decided to move to acting. Stone appeared in Woody Allen's movie "Stardust Memories" when he was twenty. The film was met with diverse reactions.
