Aspen Ladd was 14 when she began training in the combat sports. Aspen Ladd started training in kickboxing, BJJ, wrestling and boxing before her first appearance as an amateur at WCFC at the age of 18. Ladd became more confident after this win and won 3 bouts in Ultimate Reno Combat. Her opponents all fell in the 1st round. She then went back to WCFC to beat Leslie Rodriguez via unanimous decision. Aspen has already beaten Silvia Baeghian as well as Maddy Simmons, before taking the fight to Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia beat Aspen and swept her away in unanimity to create an end to Ladd's amateur record. Ladd defeated Roma Pawelek on Tuff n' Uff and improved her record for amateurs to 8-1. Aspen started her professional career in the year 2015 when she signed to Invicta FC for her professional debut. She faced Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11, and defeated her in the first round to win a TKO. Invicta took on her in the Bantamweight division and was victorious via submission armbar in the second round. Aspen used superior wrestling to defeat McGill in third round TKO. Aspen took on Jessica Hoy, at Invicta FC 18. The fight was with Hoy with an opponent with a catchweight (138.1lb) due to the fact that Ladd was not able to weigh in. Aspen still dominated Hoy until she was defeated in the 2nd round via TKO. Her final fight with Promotion, she defeated Sijara Eubanks via an unanimous decision in Invicta FC 21. Aspen Ladd competed in her UFC debut against Lina Ladsberg. She outclassed Lina by using the ground and pound strategy, resulting in the TKO second round victory. Ladd continued to dominate and scored an even impressive victory in her next fight against Tonya Evinger, who was fighting at UFC 229. Ladd defeated Evinger in the opening round. She also received a performance of the night bonus. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes, in a UFC Fight Night dos anjos-lee rematch with Sijara's Eubanks, was her first fight that she's ever had in any significant role. Ladd was victorious in an unanimous decision in some great exchanges among the pair of fighters got an award of Fight of the Night bonuses. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie finished Ladd after 16 seconds which ended her winning streak. The third time she fought on UFC in ESPN 7, she defeated Yana Kunitskaya. For a replacement last minute to her UFC match, she faced Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. She lost the fight via majority decision.
